Dr. Lin is a postdoctoral scholar in systems neuroscience in Dr. Alipasha Vaziri’s laboratory at The Rockefeller University. With experience in both computational and experimental techniques, Dr. Lin would like to understand the neural signatures underlying decision making and action selections. In her ongoing project, she has been using whole-brain neural recordings of awake larval zebrafish at a high spatial–temporal resolution with advanced microscopes developed in the Vaziri lab, while simultaneously monitoring animals’ decisions for movements. Always curious about animals’ behavior and mind, she earned a B.S. in biology from University of Science and Technology of China in 2011 and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from National University Singapore in 2015, under the supervision of Dr. Suresh Jesuthasan, during which she studied the neuronal representation and behavioral response to illumination change.
